Conserving Blue Carbon Societies

Is At the Heart of What We Do

TB HomeofHappy Blue Carbon 01

Blue Carbon Society (BCS) was co-founded by Mrs. Thippaporn and Dr. Jwanwat Ahriyavraromp as a community of friends who wish to protect and conserve ‘blue carbon’ ecosystems. The Blue Carbon Society also aims to inspire global action and improve the capacity of marine and coastal environments to combat climate change.

Friends of the BCS work hand in hand to conserve and restore natural habitats such as mangroves, seagrass meadows, and salt marshes in order to grow ‘forests in the sea’ that provide a global ‘carbon sink’. These enriched habitats will help protect wildlife as the foundation for the sustainable development of marine and coastal environments.

In recognition of our efforts to preserve ‘blue carbon’ ecosystems, UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) in partnership with Shelldon (Shellhut Entertainment) became an ambassador for SDG (Sustainable Development Goal) #14, Life Below Water. Creating awareness for the conservation of marine ecosystems under the Biodiversity Finance Initiative (BIOFIN) in association with the BCS to conserve and sustain biodiversity.
